Bought this bad boy for the X-MAXX and figured if the RC airplane enthusiasts trust it in their planes, I could trust it in a land based vehicle with no worries. At 6 volts the servo is an animal and couldn't imagine what it is like at 8.4 volts!
ProModeler servos are the only servos I have left that are still working out of all the brands I own. I spent some serious money on other supposed high end servos only to have my ProModeler servos put them to shame.
I like the fact that ProModeler is a small outfit business and their servos can only be found on their site. That is where other servo manufacturers make their mistake. Other manufacturers try to push quantity over quality because they supply to secondary vendors to sell their servos and the quality suffers.
I would buy ProModeler servos even if there was a four week wait time, because the wait would be worth it! ProModeler servos are the only servos that I feel I am getting my moneys worth. If one ever did fail, (That is a very big IF) I would be O.K. with that because I know by the time if it ever did fail, that it had already outlasted ten times over any other brand servo I could have possibly bought on the market today.
ProModeler servos are beyond their time (almost like they are a radically advanced type of mechanism utilizing quantum mechanics) and I hope that never changes.
ProModeler, Thank You for making such a beautiful servo with laser etching! Also, Thank You for realizing that quality should always trump quantity. Other manufacturers have something to learn from the precedent ProModeler has set, but they are to busy being greedy to worry about quality.
Don't ever change ProModeler, and I can guarantee I will never stop buying these servos. Heck, I would buy them even if it was just to look at them!
Yes, they are that nice along with John's excellent advice and vast knowledge.
